What is the idea behind Bloxxgame?

Why is it called a game?

Bloxxgame is a so-called “serious game” that combines the motivation of playing with the purpose of learning. Bloxxgame is a secure playground where anyone can explore the world of blockchain without any financial risk. We don’t sell tokens and we don’t promise to make you rich by playing. At Bloxxgame you will learn the basics and how a blockchain works. You will understand how bitcoins are minted and how to use a wallet to participate in a blockchain.

The building blocks of Bloxxgame are the cryptographic functions “hash” and “signature,” along with the more complex blockchain functions “new transactions” and “new blocks.” Each of these four elements has its own box in Bloxxgame. You can use these elements to build and experiment, discovering what works and what doesn’t. This can be done individually, or, even more interestingly, together with others.

There are various ways to use Bloxxgame, similar to how children play different games depending on their situation, mood, or interest:

Exploring
You can use Bloxxgame in an unstructured way by finding out how it works and learning by doing. The most important thing is that you can make mistakes and get feedback that will hopefully help you understand why it doesn’t work and how it should.

Experimenting
You can experiment with all Bloxxgame functions. Create hashes or signatures with any data, create transactions that are valid or not, send them to any address (even ones that don’t exist or to yourself), create blocks with one or more transactions, add them to the blockchain where you like it. Normally you should always get feedback if something does not work.

Cooperation
The Bloxxgame playground is designed for multiplayer games. You can invite other people to your playground and each of them will have their own wallet while sharing the same blockchain. In this setting, most of the actions you perform will affect the other players and vice versa.

Teaching
You can create a storybook and guide other players step-by-step on their journey of exploration, building and collaboration. In this role you act as a master, setting the scene and guiding players.
