Bloxxgame offers a free account for students, but remember the saying, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch.” While there’s no hidden catch, the costs are covered by schools or sponsors with a master account who provide seats in their playground for students.

With a free student account, you can still get a demonstration of Bloxxgame. After registering with your email, you can join the “open playground” in a “read-only” mode if you don’t have a paid subscription. You’ll receive 100 Bloxxcoins in your wallet and can inspect the blockchain, mempool, and create signatures, hashes, transactions, and blocks. However, you won’t be able to send them to the blockchain.

To actively participate in the open playground, you’ll need a Bloxxgame Student or Master license.

Key Information about the Open Playground

Playground Mode: The Free Open Playground is read-only and is restarted every 7-8 days.

• Level: Bloxxgame can be played on 7 levels (from 0 to 6). With each advancing level, the playground becomes more detailed and complex, offering deeper insights and challenges.
• Blockchain Time: The current duration the blockchain has been running is displayed directly under the playground name. Timestamps in Bloxxgame refer to this clock.
• Your Alias: This is unique to you and represents your wallet/node address in the game.

Exploring the playground

The free playground is a live blockchain where special nodes are sending transactions and even creating new blocks. As a free user, you can observe all of this activity and receive transactions, but you won’t be able to send anything to the blockchain. Every Bloxxgame player is a node within the game, meaning your node is listed alongside others in the “New transaction” box. Can you find your node in the list?

Getting Started with your Wallet

When you first enter the playground, you’ll receive a transaction of 100 Bloxxcoins from the treasury, which will appear in your wallet. Initially, these coins will show up as “Pending” because the transaction is in the mempool, waiting to be confirmed in a new block. In your wallet you can see that the transaction has 0 confirmations.

Eventually valid pending transactions will be added to a new block and the number of confirmations will increase until the transaction is definitely confirmed.

Once the transaction is confirmed and added to a block, the 100 Bloxxcoins will appear in your balance.
