Players and Seats

How seats are counted and who pays for a seat.

In Bloxxgame, each participant needs a seat in the playground where the game is hosted. Separating the playground from the game offers several advantages. A master hosting a playground can invite any Bloxxgame license holder (free or paid) to join. The master can start new games within the same playground without re-inviting players, as long as a new playground isn’t created. Creating a new playground with a new access code removes all players from the previous playground, which is useful for teachers managing multiple classes sequentially. This allows efficient reuse of a single playground for different groups.

Seats in Bloxxgame can be paid for by either the host or the player. The host can buy seats in packages of ten seats for the same period as their master licence. One seat is included in the master licence. When players with a paid licence (master or student licence) join a playground, their seat is paid for. Only players with a free student licence are counted towards the master’s paid seat. The playground master decides whether he pays for a seat or whether the invited players have to pay. Depending on the situation and policy of a course or educational institution, you can therefore choose the appropriate solution. Masters can buy seats in packs of ten and have to pay less per seat than a student.
